STEAM Fair Student Interviews and Project Judging
Student(s) must be present. At least one group member must be present for the interview and judged to be eligible to earn an award. (Students choosing not to be interviewed can submit their projects for participation, but will not be eligible for judging. Note: ALL safety requirements still apply (see the STEAM Fair handbook)
STEAM Expo Family Event
Various community partners are hosting STEM activities to explore.
STEAM Fair Award Ceremonies
Two award ceremonies will be held on the same day as the STEAM Fair, one for 6th-12th Grade students and one for K-5th Grade students. All are invited to attend the ceremonies.
Project Pick-Up
Schools/Students are encouraged to take home boards after the STEAM Fair project viewing time.
Any projects left behind can be picked up Monday-Friday, TBD, from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm

February 3rd, 2027
- Online student registration closes. No late registrations will be accepted to ensure a fair and valid competition.
Thursday February 25th, 2027
- All project boards must be checked in on this day to be eligible to participate in the competition.
- Check in projects at the SJCOE Campus on Transworld Dr., Stockton, between 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm.
- Projects can be brought in individually or by a school representative.
- NEW policy: No project/investigation regalia will be permitted.
Remember to bring:
- Hold Harmless Agreement, one per student
- Tri-fold Board or Poster or Project/Artwork Display Optional:
- Notebooks for all students
- Abstract and/or Summary (4th - 12th grade only) Assemblymember Rhodesia Ransom with an excited 1st place award winner
- Student Interview Check-In ONLY 15 mins before scheduled interview times.
- 9:00 - 11:30** am 6th-12th Grade Student Interviews and Project Judging
- 11:30 - 12:30 pm Project viewing open to the public
- TBD - * pm 6th-12th Grade Awards Ceremony (North Gym)
- 10:00 - 4:00 pm STEAM Expo
